Mini Home Decor Haul

Hey everyone,

So this post is kind of going to be related to beauty in a way but its more home decor/lifestyle. So I've been getting some new bits in my room recently because I'm redecorating and I thought I'd share with you this inexpensive way to store your makeup palettes and where I got mine from.

So I went out shopping the other day and I noticed this:

I know you've probably seen many people come up with this idea of storing makeup palettes before but I thought I'd show you my letter holder I now use...I'd seen it online before but I didn't order it because I wanted to take a look in the shops to see if there was any better ones and to see how big it is and if it will be big enough to hold my palettes. There were a few other letter holders in the shops but I liked this one because it was the right size for my makeup palettes and matches my colour scheme of my room and matches the furniture.

So my letter holder was £3.99 from Dunelm Mill, which is very cheap but it's very pretty and it's strong, sturdy and it comes with little felt feet on the bottom so it doesn't scratch the surface.

I definitely recommend you get one. Heres the link if you want to take a look online:

Thank you for reading this post, I hope that you enjoyed. Be sure to check out my links below and follow my blog to be notified when I write more posts.

Mint + Rose Gold Dream Outfit #1

Hey everyone,

So before I started blogging I had been using a website called 'Polyvore'. Polyvore is a website which allows you to create outfit collages and post them and people can like them and follow you, tell how much each item costs and buy them. I love coming up with little outfit ideas to wear so I thought that I'd start sharing my ideas on my blog.

My Polyvore: click here

So today I thought I'd start it off by showing you a mint + rose gold outfit idea because both of these colours are fairly popular at the moment and I really love them...

This is the outfit which I designed, I wanted the colour scheme to be mints, white and rose gold, because I wanted to have rose gold in the colour scheme, I chose all rose gold Jewelry.

Below are the items in the outfit I created above...
Crop top:

I chose a simple crop top so that the jewelry could make the look complete. This top is also very affordable and can go with anything you already own.
Jeans:

- Wonder Skinny Jeans (Turquoise)

Because one of the main colours in my colour scheme is a mint/turquoise colour I  paired the plain top with these bold coloured skinny jeans above.

Shoes:

For the shoes, I thought I would pair converse for a more casual look rather than heels etc. I love all of the converse shoes and I think these pair of white ones would go with anything. I found these ones for £32 from karmaloop.com but I'm sure you could get them from other places cheaper or you could just wear plain white plimsolls.

Bag:

I thought that I would start to add in some gold detailing so this bag is perfect. I love the mint colour and the little gold studs. However, I'm not too sure whether you can get this anywhere else apart from America :( You might be able to find a bag similar somewhere else though.

Nails:

For nails, I chose this mint colour from this Dior due because I thought its a very nice mint colour and if you wanted to have something different then you could use the darker shade on your ring fingers etc. But... if you wanted something a bit cheaper I'm sure there are plenty of different light blue nail polishes out there that would be just as nice.

Some cheaper mint/light blue alternatives:
  • Essie - Mint Candy Apple (see what it looks like click here
  • Revlon - Blue Lagoon (£6.49 from boots click here)
  • Sinful Colours - Cinderella
  • Revlon - Minted (£6.49 from boots click here)
Jewelry:

When I designing this look I added all rose gold jewelry and this is the much cheaper alternative to the one which I am going to show next which is far too expensive for me to buy.  This bracelet is really cute, affordable and stretches to any size wrist.

***I would never buy a bracelet like this below that costs this much but it was so pretty so I thought that I would include it anyway***

As I said before, I wouldn't buy this but some people might like to own designer stuff but this bracelet is really cute!

Finally...

Earrings:

These earrings are very cute and simplistic, they are a bit pricey but I'm sure there are many other alternatives out there :)

Thank you for reading this! :D be sure to follow me in the future for more blog posts!

NOTD #1 - Essie Mint Candy Apple + Little Silver Bows

Hey everyone,

So I posted a picture the other day on instagram of my nails and I thought that I would show you readers too in case you aren't following me on instagram.

So this is what my left hand nails look like:

I decided add a 3D silver bow on my left hand as I'm right-handed and wouldn't use my left as much so it would be less of a risk of it catching on something then coming off.
The little bow which I used was from out of a little pack of bows that I think are from amazon or eBay but if you type in 'nail art bows', i'm sure they'll come up or ones similar:

These are the bows which I brought

I use my right hand more than my left, so I decided not to add a bow but use small strips of tape to add silver stripes down my ring finger. The silver nail polish which I used is called 'No Place Like Chrome' by Essie.
This silver is the best nail polish I have ever owned! It dries within seconds and you only need 1 coat of the colour and your nails are done.

Would you rather tag - Beauty Edition

Hey everyone,

So I've posted a few makeup related posts now and I thought I would do a more chatty/lifestyle post so that you can have the chance to learn a bit more about me. So for today's post I thought that I would do the 'Would you rather tag?' but the 'beauty edition'. So lets get into the questions...

(P.S I might have changed some of the options because I don't live in America x)
I'll put the chosen ones in bold :)

BLUSH or bronzer
I definitely prefer blush because i'm not very good at contouring

lip gloss or LIPSTICK
I prefer lipstick to lip gloss because it lasts longer and gives much better colour pigmentation and isn't sticky

eyeliner or MASCARA
Although eyeliner is great, mascara definitely defines your eyes more

FOUNDATION or concealer
Definitely foundation because if I was going to wear some type of coverage, I would use this because I don't have many spots for concealer but the foundation could even out my skin tone.

NEUTRAL or coloured eye shadow
I prefer neutral to coloured because neutral eye shadow looks more natural and not too much for everyday looks.

PRESSED or loose eye shadows
Although I own many loose eye shadows, I prefer to use pressed because its easier to control the amount of product that I use and it doesn't go everywhere.

BRUSHES or sponges
I have never used sponges to apply my makeup because I like using brushes because they are just easier to control and also make it easier to blend products.

Next category...

OPI or china glaze
I prefer OPI because they are very good quality but I'm gradually liking the china glaze
colours too

LONG or short
I prefer to have long nails because they look more elegant and pretty

acrylic or NATURAL
I've never had acrylic nails before because I think that they will just damage my nails and I have naturally long nails anyway. However, I really like the look of stiletto nails:
BRIGHTS or darks
I prefer brights, they just look prettier. (although I do like dark colours because there are many in the picture above)

Next category...

perfume or BODY SPLASH
I prefer body splashes because they aren't as heavy as perfumes but I still do love perfumes.

lotion or BODY BUTTER
I like body butters more than lotions because the ones that I own seem to be richer and have a long lasting smell

BODY WASH or soap
This one is very easy for me to choose. I NEVER use a bar of soap, I always use body wash because its easier to lather up and you can get so many different scents of them.

LUSH or other bath company
I definitely prefer lush but there are many bath companies out there that sell very nice products. Such as: soap and glory, rituals and ted baker

Next...

JEANS or sweat pants
I prefer jeans because they look smarter and besides, I don't own many pairs of sweat pants

long sleeve or SHORT
Definitely short sleeve because there are so many short sleeve tops but not as many long sleeve

DRESSES or skirts
I prefer dresses because they are easier to wear and look elegant

STRIPES or plaid
I own so much striped stuff so its definitely stripes.

flip flops or SANDALS
You can buy so many different types of sandals with different shapes and styles whereas flip flops all look the same.

scarves or HATS
I wear more hats then scarves and I love beanies.

STUDS or dangly earrings
I own about 50/50 of each sort but I definitely wear the studs more than the dangly earrings.

NECKLACES or bracelets
I prefer wearing necklaces because they seem to fit my neck and don't annoy me through the day. Whereas, many bracelets don't fit me because I have small wrists and they tend to annoy me through the day and I end up taking them off.

HEELS or flats
I prefer heels but they can sometimes be uncomfortable

COWBOY BOOTS or riding boots
I prefer cowboy boots just because they look prettier.

JACKET or hoodie
I think that I own more jackets then hoodies, they can go with everything and they dress up the look.

Next category...

CURLY or straight
I have dead straight hair but have always wanted curls

bun or PONYTAIL
I definitely prefer a ponytail, its quicker, easier to do and I don't have to worry about bits falling out.

BOBBY PINS or butterfly clips
Bobby pins look better

HAIR SPRAY or gel
Although hair spray might not have as strong a hold, I haven't used gel because I think that if I had short hair then I would but I have long hair.

LONG or short
This is a hard decision because I have had short hair many time before and I love it but then I want long hair. Then when I have long hair I want short hair. But at the moment I have long hair so lets go with that.

SIDE SWEPT FRINGE or full fringe
I had a full fringe when I was little but I don't think I suited it.

UP or down
I definitely prefer up(but at the moment it's down drying haha)

Final category...

rain or SHINE
I don't like it when it rains, whereas the sun makes me happy :D

SUMMER or winter
There is much more things to wear and do in the summer

autumn or SPRING
Spring looks prettier

chocolate or VANILLA
Chocolate can sometimes be took rich

Lancome Petit Tresor eye shadow in Fil D'Argent or S207

Hello again...

So today I thought that instead of doing a post on my favourites, I would do a kind of review post on the Lancome Petit Tresor eye shadow in Fil D'Argent or S207.

I got this eye shadow last Christmas in a special collection and I love it! I love the colour of the eye shadow but on top of that, I love the packaging! I'm not sure if you can buy this eye shadow anymore from Lancome but I have seen it on Amazon and Ebay.

I found that if you wear this eyeshadow with some type of base on your eyes then it didn't crease and there was more pigmentation of the colour that just on its own. This eye shadow is very pretty and has very small sparkles in it which glimmer when they are caught in the light but sometimes, throughout the day this eye shadow can wear off a bit, reducing the amount of pigmentation. However, there is still colour present and you can still see it on your eyes.

Thank you for reading this post, I hope it was helpful and you enjoyed it. Please follow my blog for more posts in the future :)

Top 5 Favourite Lip Products

Hey everyone,

So today I thought that I'd write another post for you, so I thought that I'd share with you my favourite lip products which I have been using a lot recently. So lets get into it:

This first product is the BOURJOIS COLOR BOOST LIPSTICK IN 04 PEACH ON THE BEACH. I have been loving this lipstick because it's something that you can put on without having to get a mirror. I love using this lipstick because it is a very neutral colour and isn't too bright.

This next lipstick is a REVLON LIP BUTTER IN STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE. As I said in my recent blog post, the Revlon lip butters were talked about a lot and there are probably many posts about them but they really are perfect. They are very moisturising and can very easily be layered for more pigmentation.

This product isn't necessarily something that is kept on like a lipstick or lipgloss but more of a treatment. The LUSH BUBBLEGUM LIP SCRUB is always what I use when my lips are becoming a bit dry and not looking too good. This product has a lovely bubblegum scent and to top that off it also tastes of bubblegum and is edible so when you are done scrubbing your lips, you can lick the excess product off. It leaves my lips feeling soft and moisturised.

This product might not be new but it's still something that I enjoy using. That is the MAXFACTOR LIPFINITY LASTING LIP TINT IN 04. This lip stain really does what it says it should... It lasts! This lip stain is quite shear to start off with but it can again be built up for a more deeper colour.

This final product is something that is definitely a bargain. This MUA LIPSTICK IN SHADE 15 or JUICY was only £1, although many people might think that because the product is cheap, the quality would be cheap. They would be wrong this time, that MUA lipsticks have such good texture and pigmentation for only £1. This shade that I have in the picture looks like a dark shade of orange, the lipstick is more of a lighter peachy colour in real life.

July Favourites

Hello everyone,

So today I thought I'd show you some of the product that I had been loving last month. I've rounded my July favourites down to 7 different products that I have been using constantly and loving:

The first product which I'm going to talking about is the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fresh & Foamy Body Wash. I have been using this to wash constantly and I've been loving it! This body wash smells like freshly squeezed lemons and limes and its very fresh and foams up very easily.

This next product is the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash. When I wake up or before I go to sleep, I like to wash my face and recently I've been using this Neutrogena one. This face wash has helped me get rid of many annoying spots and it smells lovely and feels refreshing on my face.

This next one I got near the end of July and its the Schwarzkopf got2b Beach Matt Mermaid Look Texturizing Salt Spray. For a long time I've been wanting to get a good salt spray because my hair isn't naturally wavy and this seems to work for me. I have very thick hair and this product still works. It also smells lovely, like you're by the sea.

As it was July and summer was finally kicking in, I began to enjoy more fruity body sprays and this Ted Baker Body Spray was exactly what I needed. I unfortunately can't tell you the name or number of it because it came in a large set with many other products. This body spray is very fruity and light so it's not too strong for summer.

I have been wanting a liquid eyeliner for so long but wasn't sure if a black liquid line would be too much on my eyes but this eyeliner is perfect. It is the Bourjois Liner Feutre in Ultra Black. As I said before, I wasn't sure if black eyeliner would look to harsh on my eyes but this eyeliner is perfect because the felt-tip applicator makes it easy for you to control how much eyeliner you are willing to put on. You can use the very tip of the eyeliner for very fine lines or press harder for a more statement line which is thicker.

Revlon Lip Butters have been talked about a lot but they truly are the perfect lipstick. The one that I have been loving is the Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake. What I love about the Revlon lip butters is that they are so moisturizing and you can build up the pigmentation by applying more layers. I tend to apply this lipstick when I'm wearing a heavier eye look or just when I'm wearing neutrals.

The final product that I'm going to be talking about is the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter.  This product is such good quality for only £3 and has such good pigmentation. This product gives your skin a beautiful pink sheen and looks great when the light shines on you.
